Gum Arabic Talha is the dried exudate of Acacia Seyal (and closely related Combretum species), the second of the two commercial gum arabic types alongside Hashab (Acacia Senegal). It is a natural, wild-harvested polysaccharide — a branched arabinogalactan-protein complex — completely soluble in water and used across the world as an emulsifier, stabiliser, film-former and natural fibre.
Talha is generally darker and slightly more amber than Hashab, with a marginally higher viscosity and a lower price point, which makes it the working grade for large-volume industrial and food applications. In India it is commonly sold as Gond; in West African trade it is often quoted as Nigeria Gum. All three names describe the same botanical material.
4ACES grades Talha by particle size. Codes 100 to 500 each carry four colour sub-codes (for example 401, 402, 403 and 404), so a buyer can specify both size and colour. Bajra, Rava and Powder sit below the coded sizes and are supplied to requirement.
