Gum Arabic Hashab is the dried gum of Acacia Senegal (L.) Willd., tapped from wild trees across the Sahel. It is the reference material of the gum arabic trade — the grade against which others are measured — because of its pale colour, low viscosity at high solids, and exceptional performance as an emulsifier and encapsulating agent.
Unlike Talha (Grade 2), which is sorted into numbered size codes, Hashab is supplied as one premium grade. What varies between lots is cleanliness and colour, and that is settled at source: our material is hand-picked, sorted and cleaned in Mali before export.

Hashab is the standard emulsifier for citrus and cola flavour emulsions in soft drinks. Its arabinogalactan-protein fraction anchors at the oil-water interface and holds the emulsion through dilution, bottling and shelf life.
The combination of high solubility and low solution viscosity lets it be spray-dried at high solids, protecting volatile flavours and oils from oxidation — the reason it remains the default wall material in the flavour industry.
A single-ingredient, wild-harvested plant exudate with a long history of food use, recognised as E414 in the EU and INS 414 internationally, and counted as soluble dietary fibre.
4ACES works directly with cooperatives and village communities in the Kayes region of Mali. Trees are wild — never planted — and tapped using traditional, scientifically sound techniques that allow full seasonal recovery. Raw gum is stored cool and dry, then hand-picked, sorted and cleaned before shipment. Processing capability in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh supports kibbling, sizing and powder production for Indian and export customers.
For emulsification, colour and clarity, yes — Hashab from Acacia Senegal is the premium Grade 1 and is specified for beverage emulsions, flavour encapsulation and pharmaceuticals. Talha from Acacia Seyal is the volume grade and performs well in general food and industrial applications at a lower cost.
Hashab is sold as a single premium grade with no size codes or sub-grades. It is hand-picked, sorted and cleaned at source in Mali. Kibbled and powder forms can be produced to order.
Moisture is 15% maximum and total ash 4% maximum. A Certificate of Analysis showing actual values accompanies each shipment.
